Mermaid Swim Academy is celebrating its 15th year of running professional swimming lessons at the Bondi Icebergs Pool. Way back in 2005 Joanna Kyriazakos made her dream of creating a loving and nurturing learn to swim school in the natural saltwater pool of Bondi Icebergs, a reality. Joanna (aka Jo Mermaid) wanted to provide a natural, saltwater alternative to indoor, chlorinated pools for parents and their children to learn in. Since then, Mermaid Swim Academy has grown from one swim instructor (Joanna herself) teaching all ages to swim, to a continual growing team of passionate and enthusiastic swim teachers of whom our parents and children know and love each season.

As Mermaid Swim Academy moves into its 15th year of operation, we invite you to celebrate with us this milestone and join one of our swimming or ocean sports programs in our upcoming 15th season.
